Following the success of the first staging of the PSOJ’s Social Media Conference and its Mobile Customer Survey in 2017, the PSOJ will be hosting another event under the heading ‘Likes to Profits’ on February 28, 2018 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

According to the survey, the most popular social media sites used by local business are, in order, Facebook; Instagram; Twitter; YouTube; LinkedIn and WhatsApp. In addition, 96% of respondents felt that digital transformation will make the biggest impact through customer retention and engagement. In addition, 92% of respondents felt that the use of social media by consumers have the most significance for the marketing industry.

“When I look at countries like, The UAE, Vietnam, Switzerland, Singapore and Japan; many of these countries are limited by resources; yet they have booming developed economies that attract foreign investment. Over the last 25 years, China has gone from dire poverty to a massive economic boom; giving them the second largest economy” says Dr, Chin.
“I believe that the membership of the PSOJ are the ones who can lead a diverse economic revolution in Jamaica and so this is a real honour for me to be invited to participate in this conference.” He went on to state “I look forward lending my expertise and resources to the mission of nation building.”
